Jamie Cope has won the 2018 Senior Player of the Year award. The award recognizes Jamie's stellar efforts in goal for the Senior Team over the course of 2018 and is well deserved.

 

The winner of the award is picked by the Senior Coach for the year in question, which in this case was Sean Kenna. Sean departed the team at the tail end of 2018 as he was emigrating to Spain but he got his pick across to stand-in coach Mick Cope on the evening.

 

This win is Jamie's 4th, which is currently joint 2nd (with current Captain Stevie Nolan) for the most number of POTY awards won. Of course in 1st place, on 5, is Jamie's father Mick. No doubt Jamie will have his sights set on that record or maybe even breaking it. Well done Jamie.
